Hear, Here! Colorado Springs

PSi Certified

Hear, Here! affirms every individual to listen, write, and share.
More than time spent with microphone and pen, we dig deep and plant seeds to foster inclusive, intergenerational, educational and life-sharing community relationships.

Hear, Here! hosts two evening poetry events a month in Colorado Springs:

First Saturday at Manitou Bindu, 6p-10p
513 Manitou Ave., Manitou Springs, CO 80829

Evenings include a community pot-luck (all are invited to bring a dish to share!), followed immediately by an open mic and feature reading with a mid-way break. Whether it’s your first time or if you’re a veteran of the art, everyone is encouraged to share a poem. Readers are asked to limit their reading to two pieces or five minutes.
$5.00 suggested donation, none turned away!

Third Friday at Cottonwood Center for the Arts, 6p-10p
427 East Colorado Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903

Hear, Here! at Cottonwood is a dynamic evening featuring a short open-mic, a featured artist, and 8-10 poets competing in a friendly arena with their best performance poetry in hopes of earning a spot on the Colorado Springs National Poetry Team! All-ages, all welcome, uncensored, $5 suggested donation, none turned away!
