About the poet: Cyn Thompson is a teacher who has learned to hold her own in Brooklyn and the lower east side. She landed nose first into the poetry scene because her art therapist told her she had a good turn of phrase and should try writing. Now her 27 years of living won't stop talking, as if every experience needs to be learned over again to remind her of how to be am eternal student. Her poetry is about how to live after survival, as well as how to heal in the middle of suicidal tendencies. Her poetry is her cliff jump into an ocean of living inviting you to join in, the water is beautiful once you adjust.
