Slam Legend Passes

Brenda Moossy, long time slammer, mother, nurse and poet passed from us recently. The community of Poetry Slam celebrates her life and her work while mourning her passing. Brenda emerged as a powerful female voice from Fayetteville, AR as a member of the Ozark Poets & Writers Collective. She rapidly garnered attention as one of the premier Southern female poetic voices of her time. Simultaneously, she gave back willingly to the community she so loved. Brenda served as a member of the Executive Committee of PSi in the 1990s with honor and distinction. She will be missed by a great many.
