PSI PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
PSI is an arts organization composed of talented and creative individuals, but in order to obtain funding for the projects and events that support our Mission and to continue providing poets with a forum for presenting their art, we must also be able to show the organizationGÃÃs financial viability and ability to deliver programming.
Funders are no longer willing to hand out money to the arts without a method for determining the effectiveness of the programming being delivered. Therefore, PSI must be able to meet monitoring and evaluation criteria for funding. To this end, tools and documents have been created that provide a systematic method of ongoing monitoring and evaluation. This shows funders that PSI is ready and able to deliver on its promises when seeking funding.
You can help provide us with important data by filling out a participant survey at a future PSI event.
In addition, in order to enhance the organizationGÃÃs ability to manage awards and strengthen positioning with potential funders, PSI now has a centralized system of grants management. All PSI grants will be submitted, processed, and managed by the Development Director.
PSI has also been registered for electronic grant application submission for NEA and other federal funding opportunities. This will allow the organization to monitor and track and manage grants in a more efficient manner than in the past.
The DD reports directly to the EC. However, news articles, like this one, will be posted periodically to keep the membership at-large informed of PSIGÃÃs development status.
