Andrea Gibson!

The first ever Women of the World Poetry Slam is over, and Andrea Gibson is the first champion.  The Fillmore Detroit stage held up to an onslaught of poetry from start to finish on Saturday night. Twelve amazing poets took the stage and demonstrated to the city and the world that performance poetry is vibrant, alive, and incredibly powerful.  Congratulations to Andrea Gibson, and all the amazing poets who participated and shined in this inaugural event.
