Utne Reader article
« on: August 28, 2004, 10:29:26 AM »
Just a general shout out to take a peek at the current issue of The Utne Reader's article on America's fear/shame relationship with poetry. Brief mention of "slamster Taylor Mali" with positive reference to his "How to Write a Political Poem." And also an on-point caution to not let Poetry Slam be MERELY the "entertainmentization" of poetry. That is a caution all of us should take seriously. It is only a slam, but remember, it's a POETRY Slam. Keep writing poetry.
