General Discussion / Dog during NPS
« on: July 18, 2010, 03:57:38 PM »
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone from the St. Paul/Minneapolis area can help me out. My husband and I are going camping following NPS. We will be bringing our dog on the camping trip but we need a place to put the pup from Wednesday night (Aug. 4th) until Sunday morning (Aug. 8th). Does anyone know of a kennel or would anyone be willing to house our dog in the evenings?

Thanks for your help!
Abbey

General Discussion / PSI is on Facebook!
« on: April 16, 2010, 01:11:20 PM »
Poetry Slam, Inc. has made the move to Facebook! We're still urging people to come to the forums on this website and get engaged in discussions here, but we've decided it's time to enter the world of pokes, notes, wall posts and updates. Search for Poetry Slam, Inc. and you will find an area where you can post questions, find out information about NPS and see how much fun this poetry stuff actually is.

Slam Selection Processes / Slam Selection Process
« on: April 01, 2010, 04:23:02 PM »
Instead of having 95 teams put their process up individually, can you please email the process to me at: psimember@charter.net so I can apply it to your application. We're working out kinks in the application form as we speak. Until it's fixed email me the names of your under 21 poets and your Slam Selection process.

If you've already sent in your application, please make sure you get that information to me.

General Discussion / IMPORTANT PSI INFORMATION!!!! MUST READ!!!
« on: May 01, 2009, 06:29:42 PM »
Hi everyone, Abbey Ehn here,
I just wanted to let you know that once again I am moving across the country. My husband is in the Air Force so we are leaving Sunny, Warm, California and heading to Freezing, Cold, Dark, North Dakota. Fortunately, we will be there for 4 years so you won't have to write down another phone number for a while! But I wanted to let you know that my phone number 805-922-8090 will be out of service starting on May 2nd 2009 and won't be continued. Once I get set up in our new house! I will get a new phone number to all of you where you can contact me.

Until then, so you know, I am going to be moving across the country until May 7th and will have limited internet access, BUT I will TRY to check my email every night where we stop to see if there are any problems or things that have to be taken care of ASAP as I know it is NPS season and money is due!!

I am so sorry if I have been unavailable for the past couple of weeks, we have been trying to prepare for our move. I am responding to all of my emails tonight before I go and I will keep in touch along the road. Thanks for understanding!

Also, Steve will be out of the office over the weekend so pretty much you should all hang tight until Monday when we both are back to internet.

Thanks again!!
Abbey

General Discussion / WOWPS HOTEL ONLY PACKAGE
« on: February 03, 2009, 05:50:18 PM »
Hi All,
Here is the link for a hotel room booking only for the WoWPS Event. It is in the PSI online store under PSI Sign up, all the way at the bottom.

http://www.poetryslam.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage-ask.tpl&product_id=440&category_id=11&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=29

If you have already booked a room, this does not pertain to you, but if you are a poet who only paid for the application to WOWPS, a SlamMaster who would like to attend for the whole week, a groupie, or a Volunteer for WOWPS this is the hotel booking that you want.

There are several options for you to choose from at this link, select your rooming choice and submit it. Remember, if you select to share a room and do not provide us with the roommate's name we will provide you with a same-sex roommate. If you are rooming with someone else and you wish to share a room, each person MUST pay online at this link. Unless, you purchase a private room, then there is only one cost. We still need to know who will be sharing that room with you.

We will be accepting hotel reservations until March 1st at 6 PM PST. After that date and time, there will be an additional fee of $25 and we cannot guarentee that there will be rooms available after that date. So please, book your rooms quickly.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

General Discussion / San Francisco Hotels
« on: December 02, 2008, 05:18:27 PM »
Hi Poets,
Abigail Ehn here your friendly Membership gal, just wondering if any of you know of a cheap, not dodgy hotel that allows pets (dog) in the bay area. My husband and I are heading up to explore San Francisco this weekend and visit family that live in Oakland but we can't stay with them. So we were looking for a cheap hotel that is close to touristy things in San Francisco.  Any ideas?
Thanks!!!!
