One rule that is added to Team Cleveland Slam is that the slammaster will have the right to choose the alternate. The top floor slammers will always be chosen by five judges.

The Vibe Session
Every Sunday
Kamikaze Coffee Shop
4630 Warrensville Center Road
North Randall, Ohio 44128

We have up to 8 slams per season and we are based on a point system of 4 points. For example, first place receives 4, second place receives 3, etc.  We then take the top 8 poets with the highest accumulative scores and have a grand slam to choose the team.  Starting in 2008, we will bring 5 poets because of the new system.  For the IWPS and WOWPS, it's the same number system, but it's 4 slams and the top 5 accumulative poets for the grand slam.  If, for any reason, a poet has to drop off the team or represent in the indies, we'll take the next highest point getter or 2nd place on down.  For the IWPS and WOWPS, the slam will be divided by month for the four different types of poems being performed. For example, January will be 1 and 4 minute, February will be 2 and 3 minute and repeated the next two months.  Team slam will be two rounds of three minute poems. top four will compete in the third round and receive points.

Hey Dasha!

We're thinking of fielding a team out of Cleveland to get back in where we fit in.  I'll check out thee site and see if anything is available.  Thanks...
