IWPS, I suspect, has had the most recent drains. The idea of having an event in the same place for 2years in a row seemed to work well with the sibling event of WOW.Something to consider.
It's also the event that's been cancelled or moved locations mid-stream.
Maybe it could be the event that moves first region to region, between select cities.

I'm sorry this has made the thread less about questions for Sam.

Sam, is there already a financial committee within the EC or is there a broader one I'm not remembering/or in development?

Alvin, if you would like to debate the merits of what makes a successful event, I would recommend you use your platform from which to launch it, not clog other candidates' threads.

Even absent from an event I know more about its success or failure than you.

Karen, I am not aware of a Finance Committee that was in existence prior to my joining in October. It was one of the first things I pushed for and I am happy to report there was great support and we now have a formal  Finance Committee that is made up of the President, the Treasurer, the Executive Director, the Finance Manager and one additional Trustee. Those are not person driven, so if the EC elects a new Treasurer or President, that person would also sit on the Finance Committee.
The Finance Committee has its own section in the Forums. There are duties associated with the Finance Committee such as monthly review of the Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet for PSI for both the month prior and the Year to Date.
The Finance Committee has not expanded beyond sitting EC members, but that is a decision that a future EC could change.
