Question about NPS DVD's

When do the NPS DVDs usually become available?

Also, I have seen NPS DVD's for NPS 2000, 2002, and I own 2003..

But, does anyone know the whereabouts of an NPS 2001 DVD?  I've heard many good things about this one and I was wondering if exists in DVD or VHS form, or if it is only a memory.

Out of curiosity, how did that happen?

Prior to NPS 2002,  PSi  didn't take a strong role in handling video. There was (and still is) a rights dispute between the videographer for NPS 2001 and PSi that is not likely to ever be resolved. The video from that event is still in the hands of the other party. None of the video has ever been released.

After that happened, PSi organizers, specifically Steve, took a much more active role in securing video at our events. Eventually this resulted in Gabrielle coordinating contracts and shooters agreements. Now Taz handles all the video for us, using videographers from the slam family.

Also,  I showed some of my non slam friends the DVD's from 06 and 08 and while they really liked the poetry, they didn't understand how the winners and losers were determined because that info isn't included on the DVD.

I think scoring info would be a wonderful addition to the NPS 2011 DVD.

Based on my watching a few with scores (when I had them) and without scores, I think the videos would be more interesting if they included announced scores or, at least, if they came with score sheets. The fact that it's a competition adds an iengaging element to the show.

I think it would be a pretty rad idea as a DVD extra to have a scoresheet that you could access from the main menu, and then maybe navigate to individual poems from there.  Obviously this shouldn't replace the main navigation, but it would be an easy add-on.
