Inaugurate This!!!Jared Paul where are you?

Hi.
There are some acty-fisted poets putting together a celebration/commiseration, probably at the Black Cat in DC on January 20th, 2005 for the Inauguration. We're calling it "Inaugurate This!"
The event will feature artists, activist/ non-profit tables, musicians, and poets, from across the country. Regardless of who gets elected, we're going to have some heavy-duty work to do.
I  especially want to recruit Jared Paul, because of his brand of vitriol ( & won't he be in DC anyway?), but I'd like to get a list going of other interested poets/groups of poets & see what we can do.There's a pretty kick booty wish-list of poets/writers/musicians/freaks going at the moment. We aim for a great cross-section so we can all network, linking our communities and issues together.
I know everyone wants to get paid, me especially, but the non-profit MotherTongue is sponsoring the event &, well, you know how "non-profit" goes, but we'll see what we can do.

general strike to protest a fraudulent election.
and the challenger has declared himself president.
which he may very well be if we ever find out the truth.
but until we do they have shut the country down.
they are behaving like americans.
the ones who founded america anyway.

What an incomplete post that last one was.I'm so sorry.
Okay, so, if you're in DC in January, between the 19th and the 23rd.,MotherTongue is hosting their monthly mic on the 19th, with female features from the Inaugurate This! pool. In the more the merrier philosophy, slots will probably be 5-7 minutes.Then, the next night, January 20th, there will be bands,groups, and more poets performing at the Black Cat for Inaugurate This!, with the event kicking off around 7.Bands and groups will probably have longer sets than individuals, but the main point is for activist poet performers from different places to network and feel some  love & support, and also to publicize activist groups and activities.
We're also trying to get a workshop space for Saturday lined up for strategic planning.
So, this is something to do if you're in DC to F*#%! S*%~! Up in January.

We've sent out the fishing rod & there might be some spaces left as we wait for confirmations.(Jared, I have you down already).
