SPECS-
2 Females are to be cast.
1 in their early to mid 20’s (college age)
1 in her 40’s, youthful in energy up-to-date (but not hip/cool), feels like she fits in a town like Ft. Collins, CO or Huntsville, Alabama…
1 Male- late 30’s to early 40’s…fun great personality…(no obvious facial piercings or tattoo’s…
We want people with some experience in the slam/freestyle poetry/spoken word world, it’s not a stipulation, but if possible we would prefer these types of performers. We absolutely need to cast people who can take direction well. Some experience with improv is required, and definitely some experience with stage work is a plus.
Open to all ethnicities.
We are looking for approachable, men/women-on-the-street characters but must keep in mind that it’s their performance of the poetry that is really going to be key to how attention-grabbing the spots are.
Payment : $1,000 per shoot day plus agency (If they are represented).
Shoot: Denver, CO - Late November or December…shoot dates are not confirmed at this time. Talent will travel 1 day and shoot 2 days within that time frame.
(Production will pay talent’s airfare, hotel and per diem)
Process to apply: Please send headshot, resume (the resume that would include your “Slam Poetry Experience” and a video (not more than 2 minutes, that shows you and your style!!! 1 take of your freestyle poet and 1 with script provided. Dress for the video…jeans, tee shirt…casual but not to grungy.
