Best Host of Nationals 2010?

     I saw a lot of discussion on Facebook about the finals at Nationals 2010, with a lot of focus on the hosting.  I thought the host, whose name I can't recall, did a decent job in a really difficult show that was probably full of all kinds of pressure, but there were a lot of opinions back and forth.
     And it made me wonder about who people thought were the best hosts at Nationals this year? And it made me wonder who in the National community do people rank as the best?

I thought Nick Fox was pretty much perfect in the bout I saw him host.

Nazelah hosted Finals and, yeah, some things appeared to go wrong but I really think Finals Night is an abnormal beast... no matter how good a host is there, so much more can go wrong so it's hard to judge on that.  Getting to the end of such a show is cause for commendation, even if a lot went awkwardly.

I agree with Matt on all counts: Nick was super in both bouts I saw him in. He is always high-energy, but spot-on with numbers and mindful of the sensitivities of the judges and competitors. Lynne Procope also hosted one of the bouts I competed in and I thought she was great, too; it was a very hot room with exciting performances, and she was level-headed and endearingly snarky (just a bit!) with the audience.

Naz (the Finals host) is an enthusiastic and efficient host, and someone I enjoy watching, but I think she was a little handicapped by the cavernous venue and inability to interact with the audience. I saw her host semi-finals years ago (St. Louis?) in a well-filled and well-lit room and I remember thinking at the time that she was the best host I'd seen.

Agreed on Naz.  She was awesome in prelims at WOWPS.

Greg Bee was the host for one of the bouts I BM'd and he was really really good.

OK, this wasn't Nationals - but I seem to remember Mo Browne singing the theme song to 'Reading Rainbow' when she hosted WOWPS Finals this year.  Which pretty much makes her the best host ever.

Nick Fox hosted one of our prelims and was biz as usual- stellar. I thought, all things considered, Naz did just fine as finals host despite what the interwebs broadcasted.
