« on: March 03, 2010, 07:18:01 PM »
I was wondering can PSI as a non-profit Organization serve as a Fiscal Agent of a Certify Venue to recieve funds from a local Arts Council through a grant to help promote and facilitate a poetry slam?Of couse if the grant is given PSI would get 10% of the funds?

This can be done through the Grant Back account. Steve can provide you with more information regarding how this works.
I love me MORE.......the campaign

You apply for and monitor your local contributions situation. The checks are made out to PSI, 90% goes into your grantback account and can be used for a variety of PSI related expenses. Several slams do this already.

The woman who is over the Grants department in Lafayette, LA! will be conducting a free grants workshop this Thursday
Here is an excert of her invitation

Grants are one of the keys to making money as an artist, but it can be hard to wrap your finger around which ones are right for you and just how to write them. Gwen works with the grants over at the Acadiana Center for the Arts and will be giving a presentation to help you know about grants that are available and the best ways to get them.

Free & open to the public!

Can anyone give me some tips and information on what to ask her and how I can present the PSI Grantback program to her?
Thanks
