Slam in El Paso, TX??

Ive got a friend in El Paso that wants to get into slam.  i dont know of any venues that close to him.  silver city is the closest i know of.  suggestions?  heck, i'm new to slam myself

Silver City is indeed the closest. 2 1/2 hours isn't bad if he really wants to slam with us. I drive 4 hours to ABQ when i go slam there. Slams are held every last Saturday.
This Saturday Jan 31st, Hakim Bellamy of ABQ Slams is featuring (2005 NPS Nat'l Champ)
Saturday, February 28th, Danny Sherrard features (2007 iWPS champ)
Saturday, March 28th, Mike McGee features (NPS & iWPS champ - sorry mike, i can't remember the years off the top of my head).

There is untapped potential for a slam in Las Cruces (college town and all) so if he really wants a closer slam, i would focus some effort there. I am sure ABQ Slams and Silver City Slam would support in any way we can.
