The National Poetry Slam is coming to Austin, Texas again this year. 400 poets will descend on our town like a bunch of fire breathing, beret-wearing dragons.
We can’t put on this show without you. Lend us your ears and give us your cash. We need you. Poets don’t slay mendacity and reveal the beauty of a quiet pond because they’re looking to get rich and forget you.
Philanthropy-- It’s not just a word spoken at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the ladies who lunch. It’s about supporting people and events that have something to offer, that give something to the community, that have something to say.
